It has been weeks since we noticed our daughter saying “Bible” first thing in the morning and she’d immediately go and grab one of her My Bible Friends story book so we can be able to do worship with her. When we say let’s pray she’s quick to fold her hands and be in prayer position. She is definitely following Christ’s words in Matthew 6:33 which says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Ever since Bethany was a teeny tiny human being we have made it a point by the Lord’s grace to train her to start the day right by doing worship first thing in the morning and last thing at night. It’s been a little over eighteen months since we started doing this and we are so happy that she has been taking initiative lately to do her morning devotions. Of course, we help her. It’s either I help her or my husband helps her. It depends on who’s available to help. Sometimes we find ourselves still doing our personal worships when Bethany awakes and calls for “Bible” so one of us has to stop and help her out with it. Who can deny a child who is desirous to spend time with the Lord? Now we are more challenged to get up a whole lot earlier than Bethany so we can be done with our personal devotions before she awakes.

My husband and I are grateful that the Lord has blessed us with a girl that constantly reminds us to always seek Jesus first and foremost in our lives.

What about you guys? What’s your morning routine like with your baby? What’s your morning routine like?

By the way, in our home we start with personal worships, family worship, and breakfast. Bethany knows that after her worship it’s “nyum-nyum” or “eee” time which means eat. We’d usually have our family worship in our dining table though it is our goal that one day we can be able to gather together in the living room more often to lift our voices in praises and adoration before we break our fast. We’ll get there eventually.

  1. I would answer your question about “morning routine with your baby?” but Ihave no babies, yet! hahaha. I’m so glad little Bethany is starting her day right. I pray that the habit will be fully ingrained in her that she will continue doing so until she’s grown up. Blessings to the parents!

    1. That’s true! I should ask a general question then. 😊
